Sea Striker's #8 high speed planer is "the wise man’s downrigger." More effective for high-speed trolling than a downrigger. Attaches to the cleat and runs off its own independent line. The line from the rod separates from the planer, allowing the angler to fight the fish freely. Unlike conventional downriggers, you don’t have to retrieve it each time you hook a fish. Includes 36-feet of 300 lb. test mono for the planer line, a 75 lb. test double snap swivel and a #64 rubber band. Packaged in a nylon lure bag. Our high-speed planer can be trolled at much higher speeds than other models. Approximate achievable depth is 10-40 feet.
